Lipoedema unit
Lipoedema is a progressive condition that primarily affects women and is characterised by an accumulation of fat in the limbs, particularly in the lower extremities. This little-known disease causes pain, heaviness, swelling of the limb, itching, bruising, and increased sensitivity.
Lipoedema, which affects between 10% and 15% of women, requires a multidisciplinary approach to improve patients’ health and quality of life.
